This is a fantastic site to play games and learn even more about Ancient Egypt. Beware! If you are a bit scared of the mummification process then do not click on the "Mummification" tab on the left!!!

National Parks Talk
Today we were lucky enough to have Flinders' dad Rob come and talk to us about National Parks. As he has worked in National Parks all over Australia since 1986 he had a wealth of information to share. A stuffed goanna, brown snake skins and a stuffed penguin were all very popular. Have a look at 4M and other stage 2 classes enjoying the 'hands-on' section of the talk.

Here's the online reading log link: Reading Rewards
I highly encourage you to sign up with your child and "validate" their reading minutes. This enables you to set your own reward system at home. I'm all for making learning fun and I think this will be a winner!

This week I've added a new aspect to our spelling/vocabulary program. Each week I will add the current week's spelling list so that we can work on it online (both at school and home). I've joined the premium site to allow access to all areas. User names and passwords will be handed out this week. Here's the link: www.spellingcity.com. If the link doesn't work all you need to do is go to http:/www.spellingcity.com and sign in under the student tab. Have fun!
We've started our Convict Letter Presentations with great success. This week Ashley, Bella, Tyler, Patrick, Jhordan and Oliver presented theirs. The audience were able to provide feedback at the conclusion of the presentation to help students realise where they did well and where they could improve in the future. I've been very pleased with the effort the students have been putting in. Thanks!
